Below is the mock examination timetable for our Year 11 cohort. As per the school calendar, the assessment week commences on Monday 6th December (the week after our school our closure day for staff training on Friday 3rd December).
You may have heard in the media that Qualifications Wales have now published a document regarding contingency plans for schools should the external examination season 2022 not take place. As a school, we are currently working on our contingency assessment plans and will of course communicate these to you as soon as they are finalised.
Full preparation and attendance is essential that week as mock examinations will act as a diagnostic exercise, informing staff of what students are able/unable to do. Student performance will dictate planning and priorities for next term, to fill the gaps in learning caused by Covid. It will also ensure students are given every opportunity to succeed in real, formal assessments in the New Year.
